USCIS Civics Practice
2025 · 128 Questions
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

The civics test, practiced honestly.

All 128 official questions from the 2025 USCIS naturalization civics test, scored to the same rules a USCIS officer follows: 20 questions, pass at 12, with the test ending early once your result is decided. A focused 65/20 mode is also available for applicants who qualify for special consideration.

Standard is the test most applicants take. The 65/20 special consideration applies only if you are 65 or older and have been a lawful permanent resident for 20 or more years.

Used for state-specific questions about your governor, capital, U.S. senators, and representative.

About scoring. This practice tool follows the same scoring logic USCIS uses: once you reach the passing threshold, the test ends. Likewise, if enough questions are missed that passing becomes impossible, the test ends — exactly as it would in an actual interview.
